People usually, have lots of tips before buying an iPhone because it's not a cheap item. People usually check official guarantees or trust the seller completely. People buy an iPhone, some buy-in official stores and some buy online. I prefer to shop online because it is cheaper than the official store but many cases occurs a fake iPhone when buying online. to avoid this, the things I like to do before buying an iPhone check the IMEI or serial number on the Apple website, check the box whether it is green peel or not, and ask the seller about the iPhone is factory unlocked.

                The first things I like to do before buying an iPhone always check the IMEI or serial number on the Apple website. I always check the iPhone is not activated before I deal to buy an iPhone. I can check the Apple product or iPhone is registered or not on the checkcoverage.apple.com, www.imei.info and so many others. Make sure the product is officially registered. I can check the product is officially registered just find iPhone’s IMEI or serial number behind the box then type the IMEI on checkcoverage.apple.com. I can check the iPhone is officially registered behind the box.

                The second thing I like to do before buying an iPhone always checks the box whether green peel or not. Mostly the iPhone uses the green peel product. Green peel is a plastic wrap around the iPhone box that came from the iPhone manufacturing factory. iPhone manufacturing factory seals the iPhone box by green peel plastic wrap so that when its already open then it can’t be sealed again. Actually, I can find them with the green peel product is in an official store online like Lazada Mall in Lazada. In another case, the authorized reseller like IBox doesn’t use the green peel but the product is original.

                The last thing I like to do before buying an iPhone, I always ask the seller about an iPhone, whether the factory unlocked or not. When the iPhone is factory unlocked so that it can be used by operators telecommunication in Indonesia. It can be hard when using an iPhone that can’t use cellular data, text message, and call function. If the condition is not factory unlocked is not recommended to buy. The condition is original but when it’s not factory unlocked so that it will be useless. It absolutely truly useless, when using the iPhone but there is no connection.


                Check the IMEI or serial number on the Apple website, check the box whether it is green or not, and ask the seller about the iPhone whether the factory is unlocked or not. This method is not 100% valid for determining whether the iPhone is original or not. But this method is what I used to do before buying an iPhone. Overall, this is a smart way to avoid what everyone is afraid of.

    Hi Galih thank you for sharing tips to buy an iphone by online, it's really helping. Before I always think that buying an Iphone is better in the official store because we don't need to worry about the fake one, but from this blog, I can considerate to buy an Apple product online as long as I follow your tips. What a nice blog! The only things that I can suggest you from the blog is about the word that you put in some sentences, such as in the first paragraph and 3rd sentence,it's better to put 'occurring' than 'occur' and in the second paragraph in this sentence 'If the product’s warranty is running but the condition is still on a sealed box, I recommend to finds another store' its better to replace 'on' with 'in' then replaces 'finds' with 'find'. It's only from my point of view, don't get it too hard okay? Please correct me if I'm wrong, because i am still in the process of learning :)
