The diagrams explain the way in which glass containers, such as
bottles are produced and recycled.
Overall, the process consists of 4 stages of glass production
and 5 stages of glass recycling. The glass production process begins with
mixing the materials and ends up with the finished glass containers. The glass
recycling process begins with the collection of a used glass and ends up with
molding them into new products.
First
of all, sand, soda ash, limestone, other chemicals are mixed. After that, the
raw materials are melted in a glass furnace, where they are heated with an
approximate temperature of 1500 Celsius. Then the melted materials are shaped
in the molten glass bowling. Next, after they are shaped, they are glass
containers.
In
the glass recycling process, the used glasses are collected first. Next, they
are sorted depending on their color. After that, the sorted used glasses are
washed to remove their impurities. Then, the washed materials are crushed and
melted. Finally, the crushed and molten yields are turned into new products
after they are molded.
